Look whats got me drooling!

July 21, 2007 · Print This Article

Well, you all should know, by now, that I want to be the next Oprah…except ‘cuter’ cause of my Sexy Australian Accent…hehe! Admit it! You guys would rather watch and listen to me any day then her, right?…

I have been searching, for ages, for some good broadcasting software to record my FlabVlogs (Video Casts) and tonight I found some amazing software…so perfect, that I am still wiping the dribble from my mouth, quite literally.

Its called Videocue Pro and it would basically mean that I could produce broadcast quality shows incorporating pictures, video files, titles, slideshows etc etc…a broadcasters dream, really. I would be able to produce my FlabVlogs to a quality similar to the ElasticWaist video I posted in my recent post “Let’s get naked and lose weight” with all sorts of special effects and interesting backgrounds and angles…lol

I am an avid MAC user because I can’t be bothered with all the viruses and such that PC computers are constantly plagued with…and this is the ONLY software that I have found for my MacBook Laptop that can do all that I dream of doing in this blog and others eventually.

The trouble is, as a single mom, on a pension, barely struggling to make ends meet, its hard to justify spending money on anything other than rent, food, and warm clothes for the little ones…let alone $90USD on software. My mind tells me that if I was to take the plunge and make the sacrifice to purchase the software then I could use it as a tool eventually to maybe make some more money and develop some income revenue streams to help support me and my work on the web…But as much as I WANT the software, with a passion that I haven’t felt in a long time…I just don’t know.

So what do you think? Should I get the software, make your viewing pleasure all the more interesting…and start working towards my career path as the next Oprah.
Or
Should I do the responsible thing and just leave it?

I want to hear from you…cause I am REALLY torn over this. How do you decide what to do when there is something you really, really want but just can’t quite justify it…knowing the sacrifices that would have to be made to get it. Please tell me your opinions!

By the way…this is NOT a paid post…lol…I am very genuine in asking for your help in this decision.

interesting.. the next Oprah eh.. someone has to take over when she retires, might as well be you.

I just decided that I want to be on Oprah and I’m serious. But not just me, the hundreds and thousands of people who have changed their lives, gotten inspired, dropped the weight they want to and created the physique they’re proud of.

Thanks for popping into my blog the other day and commenting.. .did you have a chance to check out my forum?

Lots of great women and men in there chaning their lives, getting support, offering support.

have a look at my weight loss forum

I don’t know what the exchange rate is, but VideoCue Pro is available in US Dollars for $89 from the VidoeCue Pro web site. That’s less than what many people spend on cable TV, less than what a few spend on High Speed Internet, and less than most people spend on telephone service. I think (provided you will use it regularly) it is an appropriate expenditure. Also, I’m new to the blog world (I started reading blogs on Wed. of this week) but I assume you have a job other than blogging. Why not subscribe to something like Google Ad Sense and use the proceeds to pay for this expenditure. Ad Sense may not pay for it overnight, in a week, or in a month, but most likely it would within a year. This just seems to be the case from other blogs I’ve been reading. If this is a remote possibility for you, I would definitely buy the software. Now about Oprah…..

    Hi Hon
Just found your blog and I LOVE it!! You remind me so much of myself when I was 28, newly separated, 2 young kids and gaining weight faster than I wanted to admit. Wish I’d had your blog to get me back on the straight and ‘narrow’ back then. Unfortunately, I just kept on gaining weight and now here I am, twice your age and FINALLY getting it together with exercise and diet. Be glad you’re doing it now cos ‘weighting’ this long has taken it’s toll. While I’m generally very healthy, my knees ain’t and believe me, you do not want to go there! OK, to answer your question - GO FOR IT! I have to admit I’ve never been much for budgetting, but I had a good job and managed. My feelings about spending money on things like this, though, is that the money may be gone, and you may feel the ‘pinch’ for a while, but you’ll always have this fabulous (insert item of your choice) that will make a difference in your life. This is an investment in your future! Do it! And good luck. I’ll be watching! And maybe someday, when I’m a little more computer savvy, I’ll even post my own pics and/or video. Your site is incredible!

Got something to say?
