My Progress To Date:

Major Website Move
I have been having serious talks to my therapist and close friends about removing the 'STRESS' from my life...so I am in the process of 'removing the fluff' or so to speak and knuckling down on a few things that I am passionate about.
One, as I have already mentioned is getting my personal website more user friendly,
Two is finishing and publishing my book which my newly revamped blogsite will promote and hopefully sell!!! (wink, wink, nudge, nudge),
Three is putting my scary business women hat on and making some heads roll in relation to my
And whilst I am doing all the above I will also be chipping away at finishing the flabtv concept which, incidentally, has actually had a total overhaul and revamp...even the name and branding has changed but more on that later! and my other passion a webforum for sufferers of hypothyroidism which is in the works also.
You are probably all thinking...gosh and this is your way of REMOVING the stress...well put it this way I had about 5 more things that I was trying to work on at the same time...so I have had to discipline myself (cause i tend to take on more than I can chew) and set these on the back burner until I have completed these first 5.
I am getting my 'me space' organised...an area/desk/office for working...so no more laptop on my knee watching TV hehe! This alone is proving motivating just setting aside an area to work that doesn't have toys, clothes and half eaten food covering it!
See I told you I would plan out my life in the next couple of days. So ask me again...Where do I see myself in 12 months.
Well, that's EASY:
I am a published author and the Finding Flabuless website will be receiving over 100,000 unique visits a month,
SizeXchange is up and running and rocking -- fast catching up to ebay in the affordable transient clothing market
I will be travelling and speaking to women all over the world encouraging and motivating them in their weight loss journey.
I will be further encouraging and connecting dieters through my flabtv/???? (ssshh....to be revealed) and hypothyroid websites.
What do you reckon? Will you be here in a year to see how far I got? What about you...where will you be in a year?

I am a Shrinking Lady!
I have entered the 2k Blogger Contest!

Hi I am Flabuless and I am a Fatblogger!
I hear you're looking for a fabulous blogger to take you to the 2k mark...Well, I can do you one better. I am a 'flabuless' blogger.
I may not be famous, I may not be rich, and my blog might not be the most well known in the blogosphere. However, I am a real kiwi (New Zealand) chick, a 'wannabe' diva with a mortgage, two kids, an InSinkErator, a size F bra cup, and at-least 60lbs which i would rather I didn't have...GRRRR.
The way I understand what you are trying to do with this project is to represent a snapshot of bloggers from from different backgrounds, nations and a broad spectrum of interest areas.
For starters, I am the quintessential blogger, I do it for the love of it, not to primarily make a buck and, as far as UNIQUE goes you will not find anything quite like Finding Flabuless anywhere in the blogosphere. Aside from it being a up front and candid account of my personal weight loss/diet journey from 'Flab' to 'Flabuless' (I have lost 95lbs so far), it also showcases my unique brand of madness in my 'Lighter Side of Large Cartoon Strip' based on my experiences of life as a fat woman.
I have a slightly irreverent take on weight-loss and body image, and on my blog, nothing is sacred; not me, not my life and definitely not my flab...I have mastered the art of embarrassing myself, dismally, for all the world to see-that much is apparent in my FlabVlogs (ie videocasts)! But although my blog has only been 'live' since January this year, I must be doing something right cause, I have had over 7,000 Unique Visits and about 25% of them are now my faithful following...Hey, I cant help it that people LOVE me...
This is just the start for me, and very soon I will be replacing Oprah as the Prime Time Diva... for now, I am simply, Flabuless and I believe I represent a portion of the blogosphere that is not currently represented in your 2kbloggers.
This is why I believe you need my face there to liven things up and help people to learn to laugh at themselves again.
ok...so I am not at all modest...but you guys should know that by now...hehe! I had great fun writing it...now, lets see if I WIN! What do you think? Do I have a chance?
Look whats got me drooling!
Well, you all should know, by now, that I want to be the next Oprah...except 'cuter' cause of my Sexy Australian Accent...hehe! Admit it! You guys would rather watch and listen to me any day then her, right?... I have been searching, for ages, for some good broadcasting software to record my FlabVlogs (Video Casts) and tonight I found some amazing software...so perfect, that I am still wiping the dribble from my mouth, quite literally.
Its called Videocue Pro and it would basically mean that I could produce broadcast quality shows incorporating pictures, video files, titles, slideshows etc etc...a broadcasters dream, really. I would be able to produce my FlabVlogs to a quality similar to the ElasticWaist video I posted in my recent post "Let's get naked and lose weight" with all sorts of special effects and interesting backgrounds and angles...lol
I am an avid MAC user because I can't be bothered with all the viruses and such that PC computers are constantly plagued with...and this is the ONLY software that I have found for my MacBook Laptop that can do all that I dream of doing in this blog and others eventually.
The trouble is, as a single mom, on a pension, barely struggling to make ends meet, its hard to justify spending money on anything other than rent, food, and warm clothes for the little ones...let alone $90USD on software. My mind tells me that if I was to take the plunge and make the sacrifice to purchase the software then I could use it as a tool eventually to maybe make some more money and develop some income revenue streams to help support me and my work on the web...But as much as I WANT the software, with a passion that I haven't felt in a long time...I just don't know.
So what do you think? Should I get the software, make your viewing pleasure all the more interesting...and start working towards my career path as the next Oprah.
Or
Should I do the responsible thing and just leave it?
I want to hear from you...cause I am REALLY torn over this. How do you decide what to do when there is something you really, really want but just can't quite justify it...knowing the sacrifices that would have to be made to get it. Please tell me your opinions!
By the way...this is NOT a paid post...lol...I am very genuine in asking for your help in this decision.

Drop by, leave your link and say hello!

Reinventing The Wheel
As you all know, I have been very candid about my life and experiences to date and it was very important to me that I continue to do so, however, I think its time for us to go to the next level...and take it deeper. (hehehe...pity I am not actually saying THOSE words to a man!) I want you all to be a big part of my journey but more than that...My desire is that in knowing me you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with me. So, after a couple of wines to build up the courage...no just kidding (I haven't actually drunk anything in over a week now...quite an achievement for me...if you haven't noticed already!) I asked my Therapist/Weight Loss Coach if she would be prepared to continue our sessions in a more ah...'public' manner. To my surprise, she agreed! In the time that I have been communicating with her, I have really learned a heap and she has been a very important part of my growth...and weight loss.
You see, it’s not simply a weight loss journey – it’s a positive change one embracing health, mindset and wellbeing aspects.
In Kellee's own words "From all of my experiences, I knew that the key to all of my weight issues were psychological. I understood that nutrition and exercise were like putting a cast on a broken arm that is not properly set; on the outside it looks as though it would be mended but inside it is not. No matter how many casts are put on the arm, unless it is set properly it will never mend.”
It is my hope that, by using my own personal journey, this site will tackle every topic and challenge you will face along the way. With no one emphasis on food or exercise. All aspects of the positive change process will be discussed in an open environment. I am convinced, that this holistic, down-to-earth and personal approach is the best way to help people achieve their weight loss goals and that is why I have asked Kellee, (a registered Psychologist, amongst other things, who's main concentration is weight loss) to come on board and be a part of my own journey in such a 'public' manner. I have published her profile
With her being in Australia and I, in New Zealand our sessions have been necessarily trans-continental but it is actually working and now you can all share in the fun.
This is how it is going to work...she will a firm fixture in this site from now on...She will be commenting on my posts and giving direction, encouragement and argh....'homework' for me to do and report back to y'all ...feel free to take on what she advises and comment on your own experiences as well. I will also be organising a 'chat event' where her and I will be 'LIVE' to answer your questions and discuss weight, body image issues, or anything else related.
So, all in all, I am reinventing the wheel about what a 'blog' should be. Keep on staying tuned. I have a feeling its just going to get wilder and wilder...especially with 'Flabuless' at the helm. You never know what I am going to pull out of my butt next! hehehe
